Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Shield Decoration, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / MANUFACTURERS / GREENSBORO, PA", circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling within a shield, freehand stripes at the shoulder, and a freehand "2" with flourishes at the base. Some staining. Star-shaped line to shoulder on left side of jar.
