Unusual Stoneware Canning Jar with Greenish Slip Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and rounded wax sealer rim, the front decorated with three stripes applied in an unusual greenish slip, possibly a mix of cobalt and Albany slip. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. Jar does not sit flat due to a rounded underside. H 10".
