Large-Sized Redware Bowl with Manganese Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO", PA origin, circa 1850-1880, tapered bowl with tooled rim in the Hagerstown style, the interior decorated with heavy manganese sponging around the shoulder and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark at shoulder on exterior. Very nice condition with some light wear to interior base and two shallow chips to exterior of rim. H 5 7/8" ; Diameter 12 3/4".
