Lot of Two Half-Gallon Stoneware Jars with Brooklyn, NY Advertising, probably New York City origin, circa 1870-1885, both of similar cylindrical form, one featuring the cobalt-highlighted advertising "W.B. HARTOUGH / CHINA GLASS CROCKERY / AND EARTHENWARE / C33 MYRTLE AVE / BROOKLYN"; the other impressed with cobalt-highlighted advertising "J. WEINER / 675 DEKALB AVE / BROOKLYN". Both in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Hartough jar with 3/4", glazed-over line at base on reverse. H (of Hartough jar) 8".
