Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT", circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a slip-trailed floral spray with center daisy surrounded leaves and dotted trails. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Professionally-restored top-to-bottom hairline on left side of jar's front. A salt drip to reverse.
