Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated West Virginia Stoneware, circa 1875, a one-gallon cylindrical jar featuring the stenciled cobalt signature "A. CONRAD. / SHINNSTON / W VA.", paired with a one-gallon jug of Western PA origin with stenciled cobalt tulip motifs, featuring the stenciled West Virginia advertising "ISAAC COTTS / 1047 / MARKET / SQUARE. / WHEELING. / W. VA". Conrad jar in excellent condition. Wheeling jug missing handle, with tiny chip and minor line in spout.
