Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "WILLIAMS & REPPERT / GREENSBORO, PA," circa 1885, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, the midsection decorated with banner-shaped Williams & Reppert maker's stenciling surrounded by stenciled flourishes. Freehand stripes at shoulder and base. Base with bold-faced stenciled "2" flanked by stenciled flourishes. Numerous small chips to shoulder molding. Some wear to stenciling.
