One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid pitcher with narrow collar and tooled rim, decorated with a large split-stemmed drooping floral design extending up the front. Spout flanked by brushed swags. Large circular cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Thin crack in lower handle terminal. Several minor chips to base. In-the-firing 3/4" contact mark / chip to left side of pitcher's front.
