Two Pieces of Utilitarian Pottery, both probably New Jersey, 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jar with distinctive tulip decoration on front and drape decoration on reverse, attributed to Abial Price, Matawan, NJ, paired with a redware flask with lead-glazed interior, found in Pompton Plains, NJ. Provenance: Found decades ago in the northeastern U.S. Jar with two cracks and a reglued piece at rim on front, a short hairline from rim on front, some surface wear, and a hairline on underside. Flask with base chips, a spout chip, and light spout wear. H (of flask) 5 3/4".
