Rare One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H. MYERS," attributed to Henry Remmey, Baltimore, MD, circa 1825, ovoid pitcher with short, tooled collar, decorated with a thickly-brushed flowering plant design extending up the front and around the sides of the pitcher. Decoration features approximately nine three-petaled blossoms. Additional swag decoration flanking the spout. One of a small number of impressed "H. MYERS" pitchers known. Missing handle. Numerous small base chips. Chipping to spout, Flake to rim, mostly visible on interior of rim. Other tiny rim nicks. 4" hairline from rim. Some other hairlines visible on interior of collar only.
