One-Quart Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, attributed to Henry Remmey, Sr., Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, small-sized, ovoid pitcher with footed base, the body and collar decorated with a horizontal cobalt design of a vine bearing circular blossoms. Additional cobalt brushwork surrounding rim. Professionally-restored handle. Professional restoration to spout. Heavy chipping to base. Tight Y-shaped line on underside, continuing a short distance up front and reverse. A few daubs of old gray paint to front, unrelated to any restoration. H 7".
