Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Peter Herrmann, Baltimore, MD, circa 1875, ovoid pitcher with narrow collar, the front decorated with a large, two-stemmed clover plant design. Desirable size. Crack along underside, joining a large spidering crack on left side of pitcher, which stops before collar. Two in-the-firing separations in surface handle, which do not extend through to opposite side of handle. Two minor in-the-firing chips to base area.
