One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with tooled body and narrow collar with rounded rim, decorated with a two-stemmed clover plant design extending up the front and brushed stripes flanking the spout. A fresh-to-the-market example, consigned from Pennsylvania, given to the consignor by an early Maryland collector. Excellent condition with two minor base chips and a glazed-over base chip.
