One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Floral Decoration, Stamped "P. HERRMANN / BALTIMORE," Maryland origin, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with tall spout and tooled rim, decorated with a two-stemmed clover plant up the front and leaves around the collar. Impressed with Peter Herrmann one-gallon stamp at midsection. One of the finer Peter Herrmann pitchers we have seen, exhibiting excellent color and decoration. 7 1/2" crack on right side of pitcher. Small base chip. Two minor spout chips.
