Glazed Redware Tub with Manganese Stripe Decoration, American, probably Mid-Atlantic, second half 19th century, large-sized tub with tapered form, tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied open handles, the interior decorated with a visually-appealing stripe and fylfot decoration. Additional manganese dashes to top of rim. Shoulder decorated with manganese spots above a wavy manganese line. Glazed surface survives in excellent condition. Wear and chips to rim. Small base chips. Partially glazed-line from rim, measuring 4" on interior and 2 3/4" on exterior. H (to top of handles) 7" ; Diameter 12 1/2".
