Fine Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, highly-ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, decorated with three large brushed tulips extending from the base. Collar decorated with brushed swags flanking a flower on the spout. Excellent size, form, and decoration, with ineresting old staple repairs to handle. Old staple repairs to handle. Small filled and colored rim chip on reverse. Two short, tight lines at base on front, extending a short distance onto underside.
