Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Double-Bird Decoration, Stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S. / & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1880, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of two birds with heavily-shaded bodies, perched in the crook of a tree branch. Top-to-bottom crack on front, continuing onto underside, where it meets a 4" reglued wedge. A second crack extends off from this wedge on underside approximately 6" up right side of crock's front. Chips on interior and exterior of rim.
