Five-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Midwestern origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed two-stemmed tulip plant with freehand "5" above. Thin 5" crack from rim on reverse. Wear to inner rim, where a lid would rest.
