Two Pieces of Midwestern Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, third quarter 19th century, a four-gallon churn with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed tulip design below the number "4"; paired with an ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed, spotted foliate design below the number "4". Churn with wear to exterior of rim, chips to inner rim for lid, and some light exfoliation to base. Jar with handle chips, a few rim chips, and a 5" hairline from rim.
