Rare Stoneware Pitcher with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. SWANK & CO. / JOHNSTOWN, PA.," circa 1870, finely-potted, highly-ovoid pitcher with tall collar, heavily-tooled rim, and long strap handle, decorated on the front with a large vine bearing two tulip blossoms. Sides of collar decorated with three large dashes. Spout flanked by additional dashed cobalt brushwork. H 11 3/4".
