Fine Stoneware Canning Jar with Elaborate Freehand Cobalt Decoration, Stenciled "NEW GENEVA POTTERY," PA origin, circa 1875, large-sized canning jar with rounded shoulder, wax sealer rim, and tooled accents to shoulder and midsection. Decorated with a finely-brushed freehand vine design between two stripes. Decorated below with the large stenciled signature "NEW GENEVA POTTERY," underscored by two wavy stripes. A small chip on exterior of rim. Minor chips to interior of rim. A few minor nicks to shoulder moldings. H 9 1/2".
