Six-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, stamped "OTTMAN BROS. / FORT EDWARD, NY," circa 1880, semi-ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, tall collar with semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large, abstract floral design resembling a cornucopia, accented with spots. Includes antique wooden lid, stenciled "No. 3" on reverse. A few rim chips. A short, in-the-firing surface line from rim on reverse. A small chip on interior of rim where a lid would rest. A short Y-shaped surface line near base. A few small, glazed-over base chips. Some staining.
