Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, approximately three-quart cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, the shoulder decorated with four large brushed cobalt leaves. Excellent color. Two minor rim chips and a larger, 1/2" rim chip. A minor 3/4" surface line at base, continuing 3/4" onto underside. 7/8" shallow base chip.
