Two Stoneware Cake Crocks, Pennsylvania origin, second half 19th century, a two-gallon example with brushed tulip decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA; paired with a lidded butter crock with glazed surface and cobalt swag decoration on body and lid. Remmey crock with two cracks from rim, a 7/8" handle chip, and a 1 3/4" chip to edge of underside. Other crock with exfoliation to surface, rim chips, two hairlines from rim, and a glazed-over line on interior of rim. Lid with hairlines and in-the-firing crazing.
