One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "D.P. SHENFELDER / READING, PA," circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a large brushed tulip extending across the front. Chip to bottom of rim on left side of jar with faint 4" line descending from it. 7/8" chip to midsection on reverse, presumably in-the-firing. Two short, faint surface lines on underside, not visible on the interior and also likely in-the-firing.
