Two-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO, PA," circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with flattened rim, the front decorated with Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling, accented with stenciled flourishes. Shoulder and base with freehand cobalt stripes. Base with script "2," flanked by freehand stripes. Some light wear to decoration and light wear to surface on right side of jar's front. 3" Y-shaped surface line on underside, continuing 1 1/4" onto base of jar.
