Stoneware Canning Jar with Graduate Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim with wax sealer interior, the front decorated with five graduated stripes of cobalt, along with an additional stripe at base. Large glazed-over base chip. Numerous tiny nicks to interior of outer rim. Additional tiny nicks to inner wax sealer rim. H 8 3/8".
