Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W.A. MACQUOID & CO. / POTTERY WORKS. / LITTLE 12 ST. / NEW YORK," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt vine design with curled stem. This crock bears a more-unusual maker's mark with larger font. 5 1/2" crack from rim on reverse. Thin 2 3/4" crack from rim. 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" chip to underside at edge. Chips on interior of rim.
