Impressive Large-Sized Salt-Glazed Stoneware Punch Bowl, Embossed "BARDWELL'S ROOT BEER," Whites Utica, New York State origin, late 19th century, large-sized molded punchbowl with pedestal base, decorated with raised star design on the front and reverse, inscribed "ROOT BEER," along with the name "BARDWELL'S" on the rim above. Shoulder decorated with relief acanthus leaf and stylized foliate designs. Raised stippling throughout body. Base with foliate drape and medallion designs. Cobalt highlights throughout. Excellent form with outstanding size. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with traces of old paint, not related to any restoration. H 10" ; Diameter 19".
