Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Reclining Deer Decoration, Stamped "EDMANDS & CO.," Charlestown, MA origin, circa 1860, cylindrical crock with thin semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a folky slip-trailed design of a deer with turned head and heavily-detailed body, reclining atop a stylized ground flanked by shrubs. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a small glazed-over nick to face.
