Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, Stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG," PA origin, circa 1880, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-squared rim, decorated with an intricate stenciled design foliate design. 1" flake to bottom edge of one handle. Streaks of water glass staining to surface.
