Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1880, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with three brushed cobalt tulips emanating from a group of leaves. Some fry to cobalt. Chip to top of spout and smaller chip to interior of spout. Crack in midsection and base of handle. 2" x 1 1/2" flake to base. Two small base chips and a base nick.
