Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Floral Decoration, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and back with two large flower blossoms extending from a leafy stem. Additional scalloped cobalt line decoration under each handle. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with minor wear to one handle.
