Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Swag Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with squared rim and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and back with a series of brushed cobalt swags. Additional cobalt wavy line decoration under each handle. Top-to-bottom Y-shaped crack from rim. An additional top-to-bottom crack from rim. Chip to end of one handle. Rim chips.
