Scarce One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Swag Decoration, Stamped "W.H. CRISMAN / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1883-1885, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated around the shoulder with a series of inverted cobalt swags. Two hairlines from rim, measuring 3 1/4" and 2 1/4" each. Minor rim wear.
