Two Pieces of New York State Stoneware, third quarter 19th century, a four-gallon jug with brushed and slip-trailed cobalt cherries and floral decoration, stamped "A.O. WHITTEMORE / HAVANA. N.Y"; paired with a two-gallon jug with slip-trailed foliate decoration, stamped "HAXSTUN OTTMAN & CO. / FORT EDWARD N.Y.". Whittemore jug with crack at base of handle and a very large Y-shaped crack on one side, continuing onto underside where it forms an X. Fort Edward jug with three spout chips, otherwise excellent condition.
