Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N. CLARK, JR. / ATHENS, NY," mid 19th century, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with two large cobalt tulips extending from a central stem. Short hairline at base on side of crock. Large in-the-firing stone ping on interior, and related 3" surface line on reverse. Some spots of fry to cobalt.
