Rare Twenty-Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Decoration, Ohio origin, fourth quarter 19th century, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated around the shoulder with an incised wavy line motif, the front featuring the slip-trailed number “25” underscored by a tornado. Large chip to interior of rim. Large chip to one handle. Tight lines on reverse.
