Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Midwestern origin, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large tulip extending from a leafy stem, flanked by flourishes. Shoulder decorated with a "3" flanked by dashes. Some light fry to edges of cobalt, fairly typical of many Midwestern pieces, and minor flaking to underside.
