Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Leaf Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1875, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a large heavily-brushed cobalt leaf extending across the front. Overall staining to jug. Cracks at base on side of jug. Salt drip at base on reverse. Some fry to tips of cobalt brush strokes. Very shallow flake to base of jug.
