Unusual Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Bowl, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, with rounded sides, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a scarce cobalt design of a flower and a cluster of berries or grapes. Crack from rim, extending onto underside. Minor chip on interior of rim. 2 1/4" long area of kiln residue along rim on reverse.
