Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crock, Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1860, cylindrical crock with heavily-tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a large brushed cobalt tulip design on the front and back. Crock was in two pieces and reglued. Several rim chips. 4" line extending from rim above one handle. Minor Y-shaped line under same handle. Some light exfoliation around base.
