Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Philadelphia, PA origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with rounded foot, tall collar, and ribbed lug handles, decorated with a two-stemmed flowering plant design on the front and back. Additional horizontal floral motif at the shoulder. Restored cracks, including touch-up to bottom right leaf on front of jar. Restored base and rim chips. A few other small rim chips. Additional restoration to underside.
