Scarce Early Stoneware Jug with Incised Bow Decoration, Manhattan, NY origin, early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout and ribbed handle, decorated with a large and elaborate incised design of a bow with leaf-like flourishes, highlighted in cobalt. Crack extending across front with small hole. Small area of light exfoliation to one side. Chip on interior of spout. H 14 3/4".
