Two Spongeware Bowls, American, late 19th century, both of ovoid form with footed bases, decorated with cobalt banding surrounding sponging, applied over a whitish ground. Larger bowl with two small base chips and a 2" hairline from rim. Smaller bowl with tight line in base area, primarily visible on interior of bowl. Diameter (of larger bowl) 10".
