Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Chicken Waterer, Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1880, large-sized waterer featuring a beehive form with hooded watering trough, applied lug handles, and large tooled finial. Ears, watering trough, and finial highlighted in cobalt slip. Chipping to trough. 1 3/8" chip to finial along with a smaller finial chip. Several chips to one handle and a few chips to opposite handle. Salt drip to one side. H 14".
