Rare Salt-Glazed Stoneware Cup with Applied Stag Head, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870-1890, wheel-thrown cup with stepped pedestal base and applied handle, decorated with a molded and cobalt-highlighted stag's head, the handle decorated with cobalt stripes. Highly unusual form and decoration. Excellent condition with a tiny nick to rim on reverse and a tight 1 1/2" line from rim. An old white paint drip on interior. H 4 7/8".
