Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Chamberpot, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid pot with tooled shoulder, flattened rim and ribbed strap handle, decorated with six cobalt clovers extending from leafy stems around the body. A rare form to find intact, as most are discovered broken in the bottom of privies. Heavy chipping to base. 2 1/2" flake to underside of rim. H 5 1/4" ; Diameter 7 1/4".
