Four-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Cobalt Grapes Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large cluster of grapes and curling vine hanging from a leafy stem. Large area of restoration to reverse. Chip to one handle. Small shallow chips to opposite handle. Additional Y-shaped hairline on reverse. Stone ping to front and underside. H 12 3/4".
