Scarce One-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a flowering plant bearing two spitting tulips and a dotted blossom. Good decoration for a jar of this size. Some small areas of fry to cobalt. Two rim chips. H 8".
